Romanian president Traian Basescu said Monday the president of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin, is trying to lift an iron curtain on the river Prut and throws unfounded accusations towards Romania, adding that a verbal match "across the fence" would have been just what Voronin wants.
"I felt that replying across the fence to Voronin was exactly the game he would have liked Romania to join," Basescu said. He added his speech in Parliament Tuesday focuses exclusively on the events in Moldova and "the unfounded accusations" that Moldovan authorities brought against Romania. Mediafax
