Finance minister Mariana Durlesteanu of Moldova arrived in Baku yesterday.
The Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan reports that the visit sets a goal to familiarize with country's economic reforms and its finance and economic policy, and holding of consultations on policy and measures aimed at reducing impact of the current global economic and financial crises on Azerbaijani economy, establishing of bilateral economic links under these conditions and definition of their directions.
In a meeting between Ms. Durlesteanu with he Azerbaijani counterpart Samir Sharifov the parties exchanged views on the above-listed issues and discussed in details priority partnership directions, matters covered by the Co-operation Agreement between the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan signed on 22 February 2007.
On completion of the meeting the sides emphasized that efforts aimed at strengthening co-operation between both states would continue.
