A mission of the European Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Mr. Graeme Justice will work in Chişinău during May 28 – June 10, 2009.
The mission will initiate discussions on the possible IMF assistance, given the deteriorating economic situation in the region.
The mission will be also accompanied by parallel technical assistance missions from the Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) and Monetary and Capital Markets Depart (MCM ).
As usual, Mr. Justice and his team will hold a short press briefing at the end of the visit.
