President Traian Basescu will not take part in the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), organized on June 5, in Chisinau, the Presidential Administration informs.
'Following events marking the post-electoral period in the Republic of Moldova, Romania's President Traian Basescu participation in the SEECP Summit, confirmed in March, is no longer possible', says the Presidential Administration release.
Romania's representation in this Summit is going to be decided and announced at a subsequent date, stressed the quoted source.
This clarification comes after the Republic of Moldova Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that the head of the Romanian state had confirmed his presence in this summit.
The Heads of State and Government Summit, dedicated to the South-East European Cooperation Process, will be presided by President of the Republic of Moldova Vladimir Voronin. AGERPRES
