Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Raisa Bohatyriova has said she hopes that the intergovernmental commission of Ukraine and Moldova will start work in the near future.
She said this at a joint press conference with Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca in Chisinau on Tuesday.
According to Bohatyriova, the Ukrainian government appointed Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan as chairman of the intergovernmental commission from Ukraine's side.
"Now the ball is in your court," Bohatyriova said, and added that she hopes that in the near future Moldova will appoint a head of the commission from its side.
"[Then] we will be able to form the agenda for the work of this commission," Bohatyriova said.
