Caretaker PM Emil Boc to meet Moldovan counterpart Vlad Filat

Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat is to pay on Friday and Saturday a working visit to Romania, at the invitation of the caretaker Premier Emil Boc, the two officials going to meet at Victoria Palace, Government's spokesperson Ioana Muntean announced.

 Asked if, on the occasion of this visit, the Small Border Traffic Convention between Romania and the Republic of Moldova would be signed, Ioana Muntean replied "It seems, yes". Premier Vlad Filat and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca will represent the Republic of Moldova at the Central-European Initiative (CEI) Summit, organized in Bucharest on Nov. 13.

Iurie Leanca arrives in Bucharest on Thursday morning and in the afternoon he has scheduled a meeting with the interim Foreign Minister Catalin Predoiu, sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in Chisinau told.
The Moldovan Premier, who is paying on Friday his first official visit to Romania, will take part in the heads of government meeting of CEI and subsequently he will go to Victoria Palace, to meet the caretaker PM Emil Boc, and at the end of talks the signing of some agreements is convened.

As well, Filat has scheduled meetings with President Traian Basescu, Senate's Chairman Mircea Geoana and Chamber of Deputies Speaker Roberta Anastase. The new government in Chisinau, headed by Vlad Filat, spelled among its priorities the re¬establishment of good relations with Romania and among the main subjects on the talks agenda between the two states is featuring the signing of the Convention on Small Border Traffic adopted at the end of October and the opening of the Romanian consulates in Balti and Cahul, as well as a consular section of the Republic of Moldova in Iasi.
