Caretaker Prime Minister Emil Boc, on Thursday, instructed the concerned ministries to draw up the normative acts required for the enactment of the bilateral agreements signed with the Republic of Moldova with a view to streamlining the consular, political, economic and sectoral cooperation between the two neighbors.
The Romanian Government's head made the request during an inter-ministerial working meeting convened at the Victoria Palace (the Romanian Government hqs.) with the view to the implementation of the accords Romania and the Republic of Moldova signed, last week.
In the consular field, Romania's Premier asked the ministerial experts to cooperate with the county councils of the border areas on issues related to the Small Cross-border Traffic Agreement, the Government's press office informs in a release on Thursday.
Boc recommended the experts to take into account all the implications of the Accord's implementation, in the context of Romania's future Schengen zone joining, included. The inter-ministerial committee also approached the issue that Romania might offer the Republic of Moldova 400,000 new pandemic flu vaccine doses, the donation's details to be established later.
Also attending were the caretaker ministers of Finance Gheorghe Pogea, of Transportation and Infrastructure - Radu Berceanu, Communication and IT - Gabriel Sandu, of the Economy Adriean Videanu, as well as officials of the ministries such as that for Foreign Affairs, of the Administration and Interior, of Justice and Citizens' Liberties.
On the occasion of the visit the Moldovan PM Vladimir Filat has recently paid to Bucharest, Romanian's and the Republic of Moldova's Governments signed several bilateral accords such as the Small Cross-border Traffic Accord, the Accord on the check points at the state border between Romania and the Republic of Moldova and the Protocol Amending the Intergovernmental Agreement on promotion and mutual protection of investments, signed in Bucharest, on Aug. 14, 1992.
