Mayor of Chisinau: Romania was and will be Republic of Moldova’s loyal advocate

The Mayor of Republic of Moldova Capital, Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca, stated on Sunday, in Iasi (east), where he took part in the events occasioned by the anniversary of 151 years since the Romanian Principalities Union, that Romania was and remains a loyal advocate of the Republic of Moldova in its process of accession to the European Union.

"I express my desire and hope - as the Principalities Union in 1859 made possible today's Romania, the same, the events occurred 20 years ago and those in 2009 to pave the way for the Republic of Moldova's accession to the EU. We do not need too many things to achieve that. We need democracy, efforts and European integration through investments and jobs.

These do not exceed our potential. Romania was and will be - I am convinced - a steady and faithful advocate for the Republic of Moldova's European integration", underlined Chirtoaca. Chisinau Mayor stressed that the events 20 years ago in Moldova and the result of elections in 2009 succeeded to put back Moldova "on a natural path". (Fiinanciarul)
