President Traian Basescu welcomed the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Romania Iurie Renita at the Cotroceni Palace on Wednesday, when the latter presented his credentials.
The Moldovan diplomat was accompanied by three advisors and a little girl dressed in a folk costume, and whom he presented to be the European future of the Republic of Moldova.'
Also attending the meeting was the head of the International Relation Department of the Presidential Administration Presidential Advisor Anca Ilinoiu.
Interim President of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Ghimpu, on June 21, signed the decree appointing Iurie Reita the ambassador of his country in Bucharest.
Ambassador Renita is 52, a journalist and graduated the National School of Political and Administration Studies in Bucharest. He was working in the Foreign Ministry in Chisinau, as ministerial advisor included, for several years. He also was a representative of the OSCE Mission to Croatia, and used to be an employee of the British American Tobacco - Moldova, later.
Romania's Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca presented his credential on March 30, 2010. AGERPRES
