The fourth edition of the International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility will be held in Chisinau

The 2010 edition of the International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will take place on November 16, 2010, in Chisinau, under the topic "Integrating CSR into your business".

This year, the conference format comprises interactive interviews on the most effective CSR practices and a series of workshops, where the business representatives will learn about the opportunities and the benefits of integrating CSR into their business. Among the approached topics are: the CSR contribution to the brand value and company's reputation, the importance of CSR for the economic development of the company, the elaboration and implementation of CSR programs oriented towards the employees.

The presentations held within the conference will help the companies to use the concept of CSR as an effective tool in developing their sustainable competitiveness.

The guests of honor at the fourth edition of the international conference on CSR are, as follows: Kaarina Immonen, UNDP Resident Representative and UN Resident Coordinator in Moldova and HE Asif J. Chaudhry, U.S. Ambassador to Moldova. The presentations within the workshops will be carried out by leading international experts, such as: Marina Saprykina, Director of the Centre for CSR Development, Ukraine, John J. Aston, Managing Director of AstonEco Management Company, Romania, and others.

Some of the companies that are implementing CSR projects in Moldova were invited at the conference to tell about their experience in this field. Among these are Bevera Nord, BCR Chisinau, Endava Moldova, Lafarge Ciment Moldova, StarNet, Plaiul Barladean.

The International Conference on CSR aims to promote the importance of using social responsible practices among the business community, but also a more active involvement of the government and civil society to successfully implement the best practices of CSR.
