Minister Teodor Baconschi attends Foreign Affairs Council and Eastern Partnership Ministerial Meeting

Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Baconschi on Monday, in Brussels, attends the Foreign Affairs Council and the Eastern Partnership Ministerial Meeting, where they will discuss such subjects as the Western Balkans, the post-election situation in the Republic of Moldova or the latest developments in the peace process in the Middle East and Afghanistan, informs a release the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) sent to Agerpres.

"They will also approach such subjects as the Iranian nuclear file, the priorities of the Lithuanian Chairmanship of the OSCE, the situation in Sudan and Somalia. The ministers will go on debating the relations of the European Union with its strategic partners in preparation of the report by High Representative C Ashton to the next European Council," reads the above-mentioned MAE release.

During the ministerial meeting of the Eastern Partnership the foreign ministers of the EU member states and the 6 partners states will assess the stage of implementing the Eastern Partnership and will talk about the means to launch the preparations for the Eastern Partnership summit due on May 27, 2011.
