World Bank Vice-President for Europe and Central Asia will visit Moldova, May 25-28

World Bank Vice-President for Europe and Central Asia region Philippe H. Le Houerou will visit Moldova, May 25-28. Mr. Le Houerou will present the new World Bank Country Manager for Moldova, Mr. Abdoulaye Seck, and hold discussions with the country's leadership on the World Bank program with Moldova.

Vice-President Le Houerou will meet with Acting President and Speaker of Parliament Marian Lupu, Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu, members of the Moldovan Cabinet and Parliament. He will visit two World Bank projects, jointly with Minister of Health Andrei Usatii. During his meetings with Moldovan officials, Vice-President Le Houerou will introduce the new World Bank Country Manager for Moldova, Mr. Abdoulaye Seck, and discuss how the World Bank can further support Government efforts to grow the economy and protect the most vulnerable.
