If you entered this year's U.S. Diversity Visa lottery, you may check your status at http://www.dvlottery.state.gov. The results will be available on-line through June 30, 2012.
To check your status, input your code from the DV-2012 confirmation page that you should have saved when you entered the DV lottery. Your code is a 16-digit code of letters and numbers. For example, 20126O0DZWY3DOV9. Please make sure that you differentiate between the letter "O" and the number "0."
If you have been selected, a list of instructions will appear explaining what you need to do next. Please follow the instructions carefully. If you have lost your confirmation code, you will not be able to check your DV entry status. There is NO WAY to recover your lost confirmation code.
Please note that the U.S. government NEVER notifies DV winners by email. If an email claims to be from the U.S. government and is asking for money, DO NOT SEND MONEY! Don't trust e-mails and letters asking money from you. The ONLY possible way to check if you were selected is to visit http://www.dvlottery.state.gov.
