The first session of the joint committee on European accession, made up of members of Romania's and the Republic of Moldova's Parliaments will be taking place in Chisinau on Tuesday.
According to the cited source, Senate's Committee on Foreign Policy Chairman Titus Corlatean, Senate's Committee for Romanians Everywhere Chairman Viorel Badea, as well as Senators Toader Mocanu, Dan Rusanu, Cristian David, Almos Albert, Sorin Serioja Chivu, but also Deputies Nicusor Paduraru and Tudor Pantaru are part of the Romanian Parliament's delegation.
'A number of official documents will be adopted in the first session of the joint parliamentary committee, among which the resolution of the joint committee on European accession of Romania's and the Republic of Moldova's Parliaments on the political support for the Republic of Moldova's accession to the European Union. The committee's regulations will be adopted and an opinion exchange on the parliamentary procedures of adopting the national legislation in accordance with the 'union aquis' will also take place, shows the quoted release.
The agenda of the Romanian delegation's visit to Chisinau includes meetings with Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Igor Corman, Joint Committee on European Accession Co-Chairperson Ana Gutu, Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Justice Minister Oleg Efrim, Constitutional Court President Alexandru Tanase, as well as leaders of the parliamentary groups of the Alliance for European Accession.
