Romanian ForMin to pay official visit to Republic of Moldova on Thursday

The Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Titus Corlatean is to pay an official visit to Chisinau on Thursday, September 13, where he has meetings with Moldovan officials on his agenda, says the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE).

According to the quoted source, the main target of the visit is to speed up the joint projects underway, recently confirmed by the heads of the two governments during the official visit to Chisinau paid by the Romanian Prime Minister on July 17.

The agenda of the visit includes meetings with the President of the Republic of Moldova Nicolae Timofti, Prime Minister Vlad Filat and Chairman of the Parliament Marian Lupu.

The Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs will also meet Iurie Leanca, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Valeriu Lazar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Mihai Ghimpu, chairman of the Liberal Party.

Minister Titus Corlatean will also approach during his talks the stage of the dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union and will reassert on this occasion the clear message of support for Chisinau efforts towards the European integration.

Besides, the recent evolutions and the prospects of the political solving of the Transnistria file will also be analysed.

The visit to Chisinau is the first bilateral visit since Titus Corlatean took over the mandate of Minister of Foreign Affairs. AGERPRES
