The Irish OSCE Chairmanship, together with the OSCE Mission to Moldova will organize a three-day working visit to Chisinau and Tiraspol by the mediators and observers in the 5+2 talks on Transdniestrian settlement, starting on 5 November.
Representatives from the OSCE, Ukraine, the Russian Federation, the United States and the European Union will meet officials from both banks of the Dniestr/Nistru river to get better acquainted with the situation on the ground.
Meetings with high-level Moldovan officials, including Prime Minister Vlad Filat, the Speaker of the Parliament Marian Lupu and the Chief Negotiator Eugen Carpov, will take place in Chisinau on 5-6 November. On 7 November, the delegation will travel to Tiraspol to meet with the Transdniestrian Leader Yevgeny Shevchuk, Chief Negotiator Nina Shtanski and co-chairs of working groups on confidence-building measures.
