On February 20th, TeliaSonera Eurasia President, Mr. Erik Hallberg, arrived in Moldova for the first time since his appointment. During the visit, Mr. Hallberg had a meeting with Moldovan Prime Minister, Iurie Leanca, Moldcell management team and the Ambassador of Sweden in Moldova, Ms. Ingrid Tersman.
Iurie Leanca stated that the Executive body is doing its’ best to create good conditions for the foreign investors who want to come to Moldova, in the aim of improving the quality of the services for citizens.
“Moldcell is an important part of TeliaSonera Eurasia operations. The company has a heavy contribution to the economy of Moldova, investing in telecommunications infrastructure, being one of the biggest tax payer and best employers on the market”, stated Erik Hallberg.
TeliaSonera Eurasia President encouraged Moldovan’s Government efforts towards European integration and mentioned the group vision to work in a clean, transparent and sustainable way, from Nordics to Nepal.
“Telecommunications is a force for good. There are few places in which this has been as evident as in our Eurasia operations. Our telecommunications products and services will create new opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities. Eurasian operations contribute to a substantial part of TeliaSonera’s total revenue and profit and we will keep looking for opportunities to expand our business here”, added Erik Hallberg.
