The eligibility area of the Compact Credit Facility has been expanded. Starting with April 27, entrepreneurs from all across Moldova can apply for funding for investments in high value agriculture.
So far the Credit Facility launched in 2011 has disbursed 56 loans with the total amount exceeding 9.3 million USD. The Compact loans are meant for investments in the post-harvest infrastructure such as cold storage facilities; fruit and vegetable sorting, washing or processing equipment and others.
Entrepreneurs may receive Compact loans through the following banks: Moldova Agroindbank, Energbank, Banca Sociala, FinComBank, Moldindconbank, Mobiasbanca Groupe Societe Generale, Victoria Bank and Comertbank.
The Compact loans range from 5 000 USD (or the equivalent in MDL or Euro) to 600 000 USD and are provided for 3 to 7 years. On the other hand, the goods/works/services procured with the Compact loans are exempted from VAT and the customs duties.
