On Thursday, August 20, Moldova Investment and Export Promotion Organisation (MIEPO) met with a group of businessmen from Kuwait. The delegation of guests was composed of representatives of two large international groups – “Arabi Holding Group” and “Al-Maousherji Group”.
According to the representatives of the Delegation the Republic of Moldova has a consistent potential for starting businesses in agriculture, in particular in livestock, given that Kuwait imports about 95% of food. During the meeting, the MIEPO presented to the guests development opportunities of domestic agriculture, incentives offered to foreign investors that make business in the Republic of Moldova and advantages offered by the Free Economic Zones and Industrial Parks.
“Arabi Holding Group” consists of 11 companies from Kuwait, Oman and India, working in oil industry, technologies, as well as agriculture, communications and many others. In turns “Al-Maousherji Group” makes its business in 12 states investing in a quite broad range: from engineering, oil services and agriculture till IT, tourism, finance, automotive equipment, consulting, etc.
Following the discussions, the parties agreed on a visit to Kuwait in 2016 so as to continue cooperation negotiations.
