Heads of government of Moldova and Ukraine agree to summon a new meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation

Prime Ministers of Moldova and Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and Pavel Filip during the talks on Monday have agreed to hold another meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation during this year.

The prospects of deepening collaboration in trade and economic sphere became one of the topmost issues in the negotiations of heads of the two governments.
Volodymyr Groysman thanked the Moldovan government for the decision not to extend in 2017 restrictive measures to Ukrainian meat and dairy products that had been introduced in May of 2016.

"I am convinced that will strengthen our positions. I would like you to consider Ukraine in the economic plane as a strategic partner. We are ready to expand cooperation at the maximum and it should be beneficial for both countries", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Moldova welcomed gradual restoration of positive dynamics in bilateral trade.

The parties also discussed activities of the due meeting of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Moldovan commission on trade-economic cooperation.
