On 18 and 19 November Mr Hugues Mingarelli, Deputy Director General for External Relations at the European Commission, visits Moldova. Under the responsibility of the Commissioner in charge of External Relations, Mr Mingarelli is responsible for European Neighbourhood Policy coordination; Eastern Europe, Southern Caucasus, Central Asian Republics; Middle East, and South Mediterranean countries.
During his visit Mr Mingarelli will meet, Prime Minister Ms Grecianii, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Mr Stratan and Minister of Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova. Discussions will focus on the future of EU-Moldova relations.
Mr Mingarelli's visit is a sign of strengthened relations between the EU and Moldova and is intended to confirm the EU strong support for Moldova and its reform process.
